Question:
Why do you only have the first message in each series available for download?
Answer:
We'd love to make each one available, but limited storage space confines us. This approach allows you to hear at least the first message of each series and to evaluate whether you'd like to order the others at reasonable cost.

Question: How can I learn to study the Scripture?
Answer:
One of the greatest resources for this is Precept Ministries. Precept is committed to the "inductive study method" and allows one to learn to observe, interpret and apply the words of Scripture to their lives. There is nothing more exciting than learning how to study God's Word for yourself! See the "other ministries" page for more information about Precept, or log onto www. precept.org."

Question: What Bible translation do you recommend?
Answer:
While there are several good translations available, John prefers the New American Standard Version. He studies from the Received Texts (Textus Receptus), the basis for the King James Version, but prefers the reading of the New American.

With so many translations today, it is important to clarify one thing. Many newer "translations" are not true to the words of Scripture, but hinge on the ideas of Scripture. They are called "dynamic equivalent" in their scholarship. Our perspective is this: God revealed Himself through specific words, therefore those words are what we should study. We're more interested in what He says than what someone else tells us He said. Dynamic equivalent translations are often more sensitive to the reader than to the Author, and in our estimation are man-centered rather than God-centered.
